DemNet has been working on development projects abroad in less developed countries. International development activities have been mainly focused on the Balkans; now the goal is to make a step further. In February 2011 a project in Georga is to be launched.
Study trips to Hungary
In the past decade we organised study trips to Hungary for 1000 experts and practitioners from 17 countries to share Hungary's experiences of social and economic transition.
Capacity-building & Awareness-raising
DemNet builds the capacities and raises awareness of politicians, government officials, the media and future generations on the responsibilities and international development obligations of new EU member states towards the third world.
Study trips to abroad
We organise and attend information and fact-finding trips to developing countries to assess local needs and to identify community actors whose self-organisation and cooperation processes might be supported by our tools and resources.
Public Advocacy for Development
There is a great need for a more efficient international development policy and regulatory framework as well as for increased coherence and cohesion of development goals and actors; in Hungary, as at European level, and also between EU member states.
Trainings and consultancies abroad
We have had opportunities to share our knowledge and experiences abroad with local experts and practitioners in forms of trainings and consultancies, such as proposal writing workshops or transferring of experiences in grant programmes administration.
