FIT Into Society
Enhancing civil society organisations social embeddedness and sustainable financing by innovative methods in Moldova

The overall objective of FIT Into Society project was the strategic development of Moldovan civil society by enhancing CSOs social embeddedness, financial sustainability and operational effectiveness using Hungarian transition experience.
Specific aim was to develop CSOs social embeddedness and financial sustainability by putting new emphasis on fundraising, operational transparency and social innovation concentrating on the following questions:
- Civil organisations deeper FIT into society
- Achieving a better financial FITness
- Using innovative FITtings in addressing social problems
- FIT in the international network pattern
During the seven month project period the following activities were carried out: two day FIT training set, before and after online consultation session and the final chord, the Donor Forum.
As project outputs, 16 participants from different civil organisations could take part in the 2 day FIT training and also during online consultation session before and after the training. For projects final event most active leaders of Moldovan NGOs, representatives of local authorities, experts and donors were also invited. As participants came from both banks of the Dniester including Transnistria and Gagauzia, as indirect objective this project could successfully contribute to the confidence building ambitions gaining more and more attention in Moldova.
Project impact is beyond direct results and also targets future sustainability and continuation of the project: enthusiasm of project participants and commitment of Moldovan Partner and also the fact that DemNet has developed a toolkit (enhancing cross-sectoral cooperation) that could be used effectively in future common work helping CSOs tackling those urging problems that were brought on during the Donor Forum are all urging an early continuation of what have been achieved so far using this project as good starting point or sort of a needs assessment. |
